Please Pray with Us Tomorrow!

Surgery is scheduled again for tomorrow. They say Ella will be first case in the morning, maybe second case. That is hospital time in case you didn’t know. :) The plan is for the surgeons to complete the procedure they began last week. As I am sure many of you remember last week’s procedure didn’t go as planned. They began the first of a three part series to fix Ella’s heart. However, once they got started there was more swelling and damage than they originally thought and so they did a very temporary fix and closed her up. They wanted to more seriously consider a heart transplant. After reviewing the options they decided to continue pursuing the three surgery series fix. So, the goal tomorrow is to complete the first of the three surgeries. This is a very high risk surgery. It should take several hours and her recovery will tell a lot about the surgeries success.

Here are the specific requests:
1.)The Lord’s hand to be guiding the surgeons and giving them wisdom
2.)Ella’s healing and protection
3.)Ella’s other organs to be protected and to continue functioning properly
4.)Peace for…well, everyone. :)

I will let you know as soon as I hear when Ella goes into surgery. Please pray tomorrow when you are prompted!
Psalm 10:17O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear.
In the meantime enjoy, with a tissue, this video we made for sweet Ella. Then go and give your kids a hug and kiss. Each child truly is a blessing and a miracle!

    Entrusting

    Gazing on your perfect face
    Flawless features not a trace
Of fault or blemish in design
    Matchless creation, beloved and mine

My finger wrapped inside your hand
    Trying hard to understand
A path that’s filled with fear and pain
Overcome with faith and hope won’t wane

    Whispering your lovely name
I pray the Lord your health reclaims
Entrusting all our dreams for you
Jesus will see you safely through

  8. As a sister in Christ, I have been praying for your family and precious Ella. My husband and I are directors of a young married Life Group at church and this morning I sent them a prayer request for baby Ella and the link to her blog. They are all young parents and many of them have already responded that they are praying. May the Great Physician give the early physicians the skill and knowledge they need to help mend Ella's heart. Praying for His unexplainable peace to fill your hearts today. In Christian love, Brenda Elmore

  11. Amy and Jon,
Being a mother of a hypoplastic left heart child, we honestly know what you are going through with Ella, but let me tell you the most important thing you can do is be there with her, tell her you love her and just know that she will get through this. She doesn't want you to be sad, she feels your emotions and wants you to know she is strong and she loves you. Ella is truly another miracle baby and a gift from God. He is there with you and knows what you are all going through. Please continue to love, embrace and know we are all praying for Ella and your family and Ella is in Gods hands.
