Surgery is Done

After the surgery began the doctors found more damage to Ella’s heart and lungs that they anticipated. Because of this they did not complete they procedure as planned but instead did a temporary fix. The surgeon will be visiting with the pediatric cardiologist as well as the heart transplant team today to decide on the next step to take in this process for Ella. This does not mean Ella will be having a heart transplant, but it is still an option. A decision should be made within the next 24-36 hours.

Here are the specific prayer requests:
1.)Wisdom for the surgeons, cardiologists, and transplant team
2.)Comfort for Ella as she recovers from this procedure and strength for her body to do what it needs to do
3.)Peace for Amy and Jon (Waiting can be so difficult.)

As of right now Ella is stable. The doctors mentioned the perfect timing of this surgery for Ella.

Lord, thank you for what you have done today. Please continue to orchestrate things to accomplish Your perfect plan.
