Pre-Op Day Complete - Everythings a "Go"

Today's process was a long day full of tests and procedures. The family is just now settling in at the Ronald Mcdonald House for the night. The report of today is overall fantastic as Ella was such a big little girl and not only brave, but kind and sweet as she would tell those doing the procedures, "thank you for helping me today".

No tears came as they took blood pressure, EKG, ECHO, basic measurements, and X-RAY. This is a BIG deal! Normally there are many tears, multiple people holding her down, and often poor readings as a result, unless she is sedated. Today she had NO tears! Praise the Lord! At home they have been "practicing" some of her test. Good job Mom and Dad!

In the past Ella begins to fuss even being in certain areas of the hospital. Today she sat and waited her turn and even walked all the way back to the room and set down! (May I just insert a big "You Go Girl!!!!" here.)

During the blood draw she did shed some tears but Amy reports that "she had a control she has never had before and was even looking away and focusing on deep breathing." She was trying to be brave like Daniel Tiger :)

As I spoke to Amy I said, "Sounds just like Ella to rock these test!" Amy's response "Sounds like prayer to me!" Amen sister, Amen!

Tomorrow begins early as they arrive to the hospital 6:00am. Ella should be taken back by 7:00 and surgery will actually begin shortly after that. It's expected to last 3-4 hours with 1 hour of recovery before Amy and Jon can be with her. She will come out on the ventilator.

The Current Prayer Requests:
Ella's Pain Management after surgery is complete
Ella's appetite to return quickly post surgery
Fluid build up to be limited and quickly and correctly processed by her body post surgery
Peace for all
Wisdom and guidance for the surgeons hands

Thank you prayer warriors! Please keep lifting Ella up before the throne!

On Behalf of Amy,
Aunt Rachael
